Centrally situated in a quiet location in the heart of Cleethorpes just a few minutes walk to the blue flag awarded beach, railway station, the shopping areas of St. Peters Avenue and Sea View Street and the High Street and Market Place. We are a few doors away from the popular Dovedale Hotel.

Grimsby’s Freshney Place shopping area and the excellent Fishing Heritage Centre are well worth a visit.

Further afield the lovely Lincolnshire Wolds are just a short drive away. The Jedburgh makes an ideal touring base to explore picturesque wolds villages and towns such as Louth and and the antique shops in Horncastle. A visit to the Battle of Britian Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby or wartime airfield museum at East Kirkby makes a great day out. The county has many disused WW2 airfields as well as historic English Civil War sites such as Old Bolingbroke and the site of the Battle of Winceby.

Take a lovely drive down the coast to visit the important wildlife SSI sites including the seal colony at Donna Nook (the seals are on the beach Oct to Dec). The Humber estuary is one of the UK’s top 5 most important estuaries for wintering birds – Turnstone, Curlew, Bar Tailed Godwit, Redshank, Oystercatcher, Golden Plover, Grey & Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Sanderling, Knot, Little Egret, Brent Geese, Shelduck and Black Tailed Godwit are all visitors. There are several reserves nearby including the new facility, Far Ings at Barton down to Saltfleet/Theddlethorpe and Snipe Dales.

The Jedburgh welcomes bikers both pedal & powered, the owner has a motorcycle and can arrange (and sometimes lead) tours around our lovely county. Secure bike parking, wash facilities, air line and basic tools are provided free of charge. As well as some great roads and countryside in the county, Cadwell Park is less than an hour away and a splendid ride to the circuit.

The Jedburgh is the recommended guest house of the Grimsby & Cleethorpes Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association. All members are welcome as well as all serving and veteran members of HM Armed Forces. All of our guests are free to make use of the RAFA Club facilities during your stay, this includes a very nice new bar, lounge and function room. The club occupies a superb spot on Alexandra Road, close to the Jedburgh, overlooking the estuary.
